RePlast Eurasia, Türkiye’s Only Fair Adding value to Plastic Wastes Opened Its Gates to Guests for the First Time  on May 2nd!  
 
RePlast Eurasia Plastic Recycling Technology and Raw Materials Fair that bears crucial importance for recycling and revaluation of plastic wastes opened its gates for the first time to guests on May 2nd at the Tüyap fair and Exhibition Center in Büyükçekmeceme.   
 
 
One and only platform of Türkiye’s plastic recycling sector, the fair offers innovative solutions adding value to plastic wastes by bringing together the leading industrial firms and professionals.
 
 
 
RePlast Eurasia fair, the first and only platform of plastic recycling technology and raw materials was held in Tüyap fair and Convention Center at 10.30 on May 2, 2024 Thursday with the participation of representatives from the sector, public officials, and press members.  The fair organized by Tüyap Fairs Group in cooperation with PAGÇEV Green Transformation Technology Association, will be kept open for guests until May 4, 2024
 
The Fair Gave a New Impulse to the Sector
 
By bringing together the entire stakeholders of the plastic recycling sector, RePlast Eurasia Fair aims at creating a knowledge and cooperation platform.  At the fair, recycling raw material and technology firms offer the latest products and services to the professionals of the sector  and focused on the solutions to recycle and revaluate the plastic wastes. The fair aims at gaining a major impetus to Türkiye’s engagement in green transformation and exhibits products and services for the collection, sorting, washing and cleaning, grinding, melting and extrusion, reprocessing and production, and innovation of the plastic wastes.
 
 “This fair held for the very first time is a major step for our country. 124 firms are participating the fair not to mention business people who registered on line from 85 countries. There are firms attending from North Africa, Europe, and Asia. I therefore would like to thank to PAGÇEV and PAGED that provided assistance in holding the fair.” said  Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü.
 
On the other hand, “Türkiye is conducting new research. One of such research focuses on sustainability and industrial life. We hope to see the benefits of participating such fairs to ensure that people may live in a more sustainable environment. I hope this fair jointly organized with PAGEV will contribute to both environmental purposes and to recycling products.”  said  would like to thank to PAGÇEV and PAGED that provided assistance in holding the fair.” said Bülent Ünal, Chairman of the Board of Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. Chairman. 
 
 “During my tenure as Deputy Minister, one of the challenges that I frequently faced was that we were establishing plastic producing facilities, but we did not have the necessary organization regarding recycling. I hope that this fair will ensure accessing a larger audience and bring along a progress for our country. As a representative of this sector, I consider the growth of this present sector and the machinery sector significant.”   said Former Deputy Minister Hasan Büyükdede.  
 
On the other hand, “We will hold several conferences whereby you will be exchanging information across the entire globe. The most precious metal of the time is wastes. We have to attribute importance to recycling to prevent environment pollution. Several possibilities are granted to the firms operating in different sectors to incentivize recycling. Recycling is a very strategic issue now. I hope that this strategic recycling technology will be developed and hold a very important position for the world.” said Yavuz Eroğlu, Chairman of the Board of PAGÇEV.
 
In the speeches they delivered, EuPC General Manager  Bernard Merkx and PETCORE EUROPE Chairman Antonello Ciotti stated that the fair would bring along major contributions to recycling and thanked every one involved in preparing the fair.  
 
 
Ready to be the Leading Fair of the Plastic Recycling Sector of Türkiye
 
RePlast Eurasia Fair hosted hundreds of guests on the first day. The fair aims at hosting over 150 domestic and international participants  from 30 countries and over 10.000 visitors from 70 countries. An intensive participation is expected to the fair particularly from Germany, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Sweden, Thailand, Greece, Poland, Egypt, Malaysia, Belgium, Yemen, and Ireland. 
 
Plastic Recycling Awards were Distributed on Day One
 
The fair also hosted Türkiye’s first PAGÇEV Plastic Recycling Awards. On the first day of the fair, specialists delivered remarks regarding the latest sectoral information on May 2,2024 at 13.00-17.00 at the Plastic Recycling Conference held in Tüyap Fair and Convention Center where awardees received their awards on 7 different categories.
