Green transition in industry is vital to ensure environmental sustainability and combat climate change. Most traditional industrial practices are based on processes with high environmental impacts such as resource consumption, energy use and carbon emissions. Green transition is an approach that involves the adoption of innovative technologies, efficiency measures and sustainable production methods. This transition supports targets such as waste minimisation, renewable energy use, energy efficiency and protection of water resources. The adoption of green transition in the industry contributes to the creation of a more sustainable future by providing both environmental and economic benefits. PAGÇEV, the Recycling Economic Enterprise of the Turkish Plastics Industrialists Research, Development and Education Foundation, is a non-profit organisation established to collect packaging waste separately at source and recycle it. On 3 January 2014, PAGÇEV was commissioned by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation to operate for all types of packaging and became the 3rd Authorised Institution of Turkiye. PAGÇEV Green Transition and Technology Association, founded by a team inspired by PAGÇEV s activities and achievements as the Recycling Commercial Enterprise, will take these activities further and carry out activities that will make our country a pioneer in green transition.
