CERTILOOP Yeşil Dönüşüm Sertifikasyon Hizmetleri A.Ş. is an independent Conformity Assessment Organization that certifies the products, processes and services of companies within the scope of EN ISO 22095 and TS EN ISO 15343 standards under the TS EN ISO 17065 standard. CERTILOOP certifies claims regarding the recyclability and recycled content of products across the entire value chain of the plastics and recycling sectors in a fair and reliable manner. It also conducts Recycling Process Traceability Certificate programs for Recycling Facilities. In addition, it is the authorized certification body of the Operation Clean Sweep Certification program developed by the global plastic industry to find a solution to the microplastic problem. Certification programs cover the entire value chain in the plastic product and recycling sectors. For this reason, raw material producers, converters, compound, masterbatch and additive manufacturers, recycling facilities and brand owners can apply for CERTILOOP certification programs. www.certiloop.com The main services provided by CERTILOOP are; - Recycled Content Certificate (EN 15343) - Recycled Process Certificate (EN 15343 for recycling facilities) - Recyclability Certificate -Halal Conformity Certification - Operation Clean Sweep Certificate - Life Cycle Analysis Report - Carbon Footprint Calculation - Sustainability Report - Recycling, Sustainability and Zero Waste Trainings
CERTILOOP certifies the recycled material content in products throughout the entire plastic value chain. Recycled content certification covers the traceability of recycled plastics within a process and verification of recycled content rates (pre/post consumer). The traceability of the material in the different processing steps is verified throughout the entire chain of custody of the material to claim recycled content in the final products. Therefore, Certification can be given separately to different companies that have oversight of recycled plastics, such as compound manufacturers, convertors, preform manufacturers, additive - filler manufacturers, which play a role in the value chain. The program has been developed according to the EN 15343:2007 standard and the principles of controlled blending chain of custody as described in ISO 22095:2020.
Recycling Process Certification CERTILOOP runs a certification scheme to standardize the recycling processes of pre- and post-consumer plastic waste. Certification gives confidence to all stakeholders, especially convertors, that all materials produced in a certified recycling facility are recycled according to best practice. This certificate, issued in compliance with EN 15343:2007 and ISO 22095:2020 standards, focuses on material traceability throughout the recycling process, conformity assessment, management systems, environmental and administrative operating standards and relevant legal compliance, and calculation of recycled content in the final product. The program has been developed according to the EN 15343:2007 standard and the principles of controlled blending chain of custody as described in ISO 22095:2020.
CERTILOOP evaluates the technical recyclability of a product within the framework of the latest technology available, as a result of which it makes a category rating from A to F and issues a certificate under ISO 17065/2012. The category order within the framework of PCL-02 Design for Recycling Procedure, published by CERTILOOP, ranges from A to F ; where A indicates that a product is designed to be fully recyclable, while F indicates that a product is non-recyclable and can only be used for energy recovery purposes. If there is a use of recycled raw materials in the product, it can also be indicated by specifying the percentage of the recycled content within the framework of a CERTILOOP certification system.
Operation Clean Sweep is an international initiative carried out by the plastic industry to reduce the loss of plastic granules to the environment. It was first developed in the USA in 1990 by the American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS). In Türkiye, this initiative is carried out by PAGEV-Turkish Plastic Industry Foundation, and CERTILOOP is the authorized certification body approved by OCS for the implementation of the program in Türkiye. The aim of this program is to ensure that plastic granules, particles, flakes and powders are handled carefully throughout the entire value chain, such as production, transportation, recycling, etc., and do not mix with rivers or seas. Companies participating in the Operation Clean Sweep Program sign a commitment that they will implement the best systems to reduce plastic granule loss and play their part in protecting water, and within this framework, they implement the OCS Turkey certification program prepared by PAGEV in their facilities.
